Tax Day Tea Party

On April 15th, everyone's favorite day...we weren't rushing to the post office like usual to have our taxes postmarked (we filed an extension) instead we joined the crowds of others through out the nation and went to the Denton Tea Party to show our support for the movement and our dis-pleasure about the current direction our leaders are taking this country. It wasn't a huge venue like some of the other tea parties, but there was probably a thousand people there (maybe two) - and it was a crowd of families, young, old, black, white, religious and non-religious. It was neat to be a part of a movement that will hopefully help our leaders hear what the people are saying. Being that we are in Texas there was a lot of talk about seceeding from the nation. Who knows if it would ever really happen --but we are the only state in the US with the ability to do so -- friends and family here is your warning...either move here or get your passports so you can come visit!

Let's see-- A Mormon tea party. That has to be news. Nice signs.

I have my passport, but you aren't the only ones threatening secession. Frankly, Maine would probably like to get rid of this end of the state. We cause too much trouble.

Love ya.
