...was the theme of our neighboorhood party (which was actually June 27th) this year. It was so fun to take the kids over and see how much there was to do. Our kids loved the bounce houses - which is no surprise. There was huge water slides, bungee jumping (the jumping kind - not the falling kind) and a zip line. Our kids were a little too little to brave those, and mommy and daddy didn't want to wait in line in the scorching heat! It was so hot our eyelids had sweat beads on them, and it didn't even start until 5:30. There was free hot dogs and bbq sandwiches and live bands playing Christian Rock music (which I thought was pretty cool). There was a tumbling/gymnastics obstical course set up that Brody loved going through over and over again. It was set up in the big field by our clubhouse and there was a park that the kids could play on too. I think we made it about an hour and a half before we had to go home and put swimsuits on and go to the pool.
The pool water felt a lot like bath water. We wish that there was an air conditioner that could cool the water down. We talked about throwing ice in it too. We swam for awhile and then went home and got changed and headed out for the big fireworks show. The kids both loved watching the fireworks in the sky. Brody could tell us all the colors he saw and Ella was just in awe.
It was a great party - we are so lucky to have such a family oriented community to plan parties for us to enjoy. Brandon and I are both looking forward to the kids getting bigger and seeing them be so excited to jump and slide and be big kids.
