Primary Pioneer Trek

A couple of weeks ago our primary held their annual pioneer trek. I am so grateful it wasn't in July! We would have all melted away on our journey! We started in Nauvoo with a hot dog dinner and then travelled the trail west just like the pioneers stopping along the way to bead necklaces to trade with the Indians, make a family flag to mark our camp, churn homemade butter, push a hoop with a stick, build a log cabin, hunt for wild game, and of course what pioneer trek didn't have a pie eating contest??

Brody was an excellent hunter...(if you see the spot on his shirt/pants it is EXACTLY what you think it is...he couldn't be bothered to find a bathroom while playing on the playground in Nauvoo)
