Brody started off his special day with Birthday bagel (one of his favorites) and then we had to get ready and head off to church. At church he looked forward to the Primary singing Happy Birthday to him, he'd been talking about it non-stop!

We had been teasing him that he wasn't getting any birthday presents because he had his party yesterday. I came walking down stairs holding his presents and sang to him - I think he was pretty surprised!

Our handsome Birthday Boy!

Brody got some train "accessories" a waterfall tunnel and a bridge

He also got a marble racing tower that both he and Ella loved playing with! It is amazing what keeps their attention.

Opening a few birthday cards...

He got to pick what he wanted for dinner and he picked Macaroni and Cheese. He was really excited that I didn't make him eat his green beans too.

For a treat we put a candle in some ice cream and had leftover birthday cake. He was happy with that and I was happy to not have to bake anymore!
We can't believe he is 5! Brody is a talker. He is non-stop energy and very inquisitive (meaning he never stops asking questions - ever.) He is sweet and tender hearted and has a temper. He is smart and creative. He loves to write stories and then draw pictures to go with them. He says he only wants me to read to him at bedtime, but it is mostly because Ella says it too. He is a really good little artist and can draw some pretty cool pictures. He said the best part about his birthday party was getting to be with all his friends.
We love you Brody and hope you had a great birthday!
